Year 1 International Day - Ireland

Today is international Day! We learnt all about the country Ireland. We started the day by answering the register in Gaelic. Then we looked at the map of Ireland and learnt some facts. After that some of our classmates shared their Irish magnets and keyrings. 

We then got to partner with someone from Class 1. We worked together to go on a lucky Irish treasure hunt. We had to find all the pictures along the balcony to get the lucky coin sticker at the end. After that we worked with our partner to do colouring or a puzzle.

Finally, during PE, we learnt an Irish dance step by step. We had to count lots of times to 4 or 8. We performed our dance to Miss Julia and Mrs Young who loved it! We had so much fun on International Day!
